In observance of the 43rd Annual “National Day of Unity Night of Remembrance,” founded by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Samaritan House is co-hosting the Day of Unity candlelight vigil at the Slover Library in downtown Norfolk.
The community is invited to come together to memorialize those lost to domestic violence, to support families, friends, and survivors, and to actively work toward safer relationships and communities. Silent Witnesses—life-size wooden silhouettes memorializing local victims of domestic violence—will be on display, and domestic violence shelters and other agencies will provide domestic violence resources and education.
