About this Event
This festival is a celebration of culture, history, arts and the Earth. We are combining the best elements of the Hampton Museum’s Heritage Day, the City’s International Children’s Festival, and Earth Day. Our vision is to celebrate the diverse history and cultures found in Hampton. A visual feast of color will greet everyone through dance, music, visual art, storytelling, demonstrators, food, cultural crafts, and unique vendors in our world market – all curated to create a sense of belonging. The impact of our natural environment on our culture, way of life, and planet is presented by exhibitors and public art from Hampton Clean City’s in honor of Earth Day. This is a special partnership with the Hampton History Museum, the City’s Special Events and Clean City’s Division, as well as additional support from Hampton Arts, Hampton Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Fort Monroe Authority Museums, Education and Interpretation Department.
The festival will include beer, wine, interactive public art elements where festival-goers can contribute to larger art installations focusing on the environment and the planet, and where a number of demonstrations by unique, cultural artist from around the world can be seen. The festival is free and open to the public. The Hampton Mosaic Festival is designed for family and friends of all ages. We encourage everyone to proudly wear their cultural attire, whatever that may be.
