Hamilton House - Breathwork for Stress & Tension Release
About this Event
We are honoured to be delivering a Conscious Connected Breathwork session to the wonderfully creative members of Hamilton House, non-members are also welcome to this Conscious Connected Breathwork Session.
What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
It is a specific style of breathwork using a deep, circular pattern whilst inhaling and exhaling only through your mouth. We use music throughout the session to really allow you to immerse yourself in this deep Breathwork practise and shut out the outside world.
One of our wonderful Certified Breathwork Facilitators will guide you through the whole session; you stay consciously engaged with each inhale and exhale which will lead to a powerful and insightful experience.
What are the benefits?
Life today can feel incredibly busy, demanding, and at times overwhelming. Imagine for a moment that each of us carries an invisible container inside us. From childhood onwards, that container gradually fills with life's experiences—everyday stresses, disappointments, worries, and sometimes deeper hurt or even trauma.
As we move through life, new challenges arise: work pressures, family responsibilities, relationship difficulties, loss, change, and uncertainty. Each experience can add a little more to the container. Sometimes we're able to pour some of it out through positive changes such as exercising, practicing yoga, spending time in nature, improving our diet, talking with friends, or simply taking time to rest and recharge.
But there are times when those coping strategies aren't quite enough. The container continues to fill, and eventually we may feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally reactive, exhausted, or simply disconnected from ourselves. It's often a sign that the container is nearing its limit.
Breathwork offers an opportunity to go a little deeper. It creates a safe space to access and release some of what we've been carrying—whether that's accumulated stress, stored emotions, or tension held within the body. Think of it as opening a valve and allowing some of the water to flow out, creating more space, more ease, and a greater sense of balance. The challenges of life may still be there, but with a lighter container, we often feel better equipped to meet them.
Breathwork offers a chance to pause, reconnect with your body, and release tension, stored emotions, or stagnant energy, leaving you feeling physically and emotionally lighter. It can help you feel more resilient, with greater capacity, clarity, focus, and calm both at work and at home.
Over time, it also supports a deeper connection with yourself and strengthens your sense of self trust and self-leadership, we therefore encourage you to come along to more than one session to truly feel its benefits.
What do I need for the session?
You’ll need to lie down, so bring a yoga mat or something similar, plus anything that helps you feel comfortable—pillows, a blanket. You are free to wear whatever you are comfortable in, as long as you can breath deep into your belly and not feel restricted. Have some water on hand and come with an open mind.
What is the structure of the session?
The session begins with a brief introduction to Conscious Connected Breathing, a demo of the pattern and time to answer any questions that may arise. You’ll then get comfortable lying down with eyes closed, followed by a short grounding exercise. We’ll move into 2–3 rounds of breathing to music, with optional guided breath retentions, then finish with a guided visualisation and reading while you relax deeply to music.
