Lakiesha Hawkins
Manager of the Human Exploration
Development & Operations Office
NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center
Lakiesha Hawkins is the manager of NASA Marshall’s Human Exploration Development & Operations Office, leading ISS support, Artemis mission operations, and development of future Moon Base capabilities. She previously held senior leadership roles at NASA Headquarters, including acting deputy associate administrator for Exploration Systems Development and deputy for the Moon to Mars Program Office. Her career includes key positions in the Human Landing System program, Space Launch System avionics, Gateway habitation systems, and early work as a turbomachinery engineer for the space shuttle main engines. Hawkins holds engineering degrees from FAMU and the University of South Florida and is a recipient of NASA’s Outstanding Leadership Medal and Exceptional Achievement Medal.
