Hallowqueen: Silent Disco Party!

DJ CLAY PAPA and CHARLOTTE THRIVES invite you and your community to celebrate Halloween night dancing your spooky booty through the lively streets of Noda. This is a unique, donation-based, and fabulous Silent Disco called none other than… Hallowqueen! Let's go!

Grab your personal headphones, dancing shoes, claws or paws, and the Halloween costume you've been dying to romp around in. Immerse yourselves in a curated DJ set as we parade through the vibrant streets of Charlotte’s Noda neighborhood!

How often do you get a chance to parade the streets with all your friends dressed up like a mushroom, monkey, or the troll who lives under the bridge?! We don't know if we ever have, which is why we're making this happen. We're excited to invite you to this mobile celebration of community, creativity, and the joy of movement!

Date & Time: October 31st, 2024 (Halloween Night)

Gather Time: 7:00 PM

Start Time: 7:15 PM

Starting Location: Parking Lot across from, Free Range Brewery, 2320 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

Route:

• Begin at Free Range Brewery
• Dance down North Davidson Street
• Continue onto Sugar Creek Greenway
• Loop back through the NODA neighborhood
• Return to Free Range Brewery

Event Description: At 7:00 PM, participants will gather in the parking lot, where they will receive a specially curated dance playlist. By 7:15 PM, the music will start, and we will set off on our lively parade. As we move through the streets, everyone will be synced to the same beats, creating a moving, grooving spectacle of lights, costumes, and dance. The route is designed to maximize the fun and visibility of the group, offering plenty of opportunities for onlookers to join in the Halloween spirit.

What to Bring:

• BYOH (Bring Your Own Headphones): Ensure you can tune into the DJ set.
• Halloween Costume: Let your creativity shine! Costumes are encouraged to be as festive as possible.
• Reflective and Blinking Attire: For safety and visibility, we suggest participants wear reflective clothing or accessories that light up.

Safety and Inclusivity: This event is designed with safety and inclusivity in mind. The route has been selected for its pedestrian-friendly pathways, and participants are encouraged to wear visible attire. The silent disco format allows participants to enjoy the music without disturbing the surrounding neighborhoods.
