It’s the kind of thing you have to look at twice before you entirely believe it. Remarkably, that flyaway, psychedelia-kissed sound really is coming from just two people. One of the Welsh duo, Jamey-Leigh Butcher, is fulfilling just about the toughest multi-tasking imaginable – singing lead vocals while playing drums! At their roots there’s a Sabbath influence here, but Pyrogaric are very much a law unto themselves, emoting 70s-flavoured sounds that are tinted to just enough novelty and strangeness to make their set an unmissable prospect
