Get ready to dress up, dance, and celebrate Halloween Better In Boots style! 👻💃 Join us for a fun-filled Halloween Hoedown at the beautiful Farmhouse at the Essex Resort & Spa.
This is an absolutely stunning location with a large, open dance floor and beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the pond. I’m so excited and honored to be bringing line dancing to the Essex community and beyond at this incredible venue!
💃 A Night of Dancing, Lessons & Open Dance
Doors open at 5:45 PM
🎶 6:00 PM: Open dancing
👢 Around 6:30 PM: Lessons begin
Throughout the evening, we’ll alternate between beginner and improver lessons, open dancing, and requests, with something for all skill levels.
Beginner-friendly dances will always be taught first! No experience is necessary—we’ll break everything down step-by-step and make sure you have fun while learning.
🍽️ Dinner Before You Dance
Located inside the resort is The Lazy Goat Tavern, where you can stop in early for dinner.
A little planning tip: Food wait times may vary depending on how busy the restaurant is, so I recommend arriving early and getting your order in so you don't miss any of the dancing!
💵 Admission
$15 per person — CASH at the door
No presale tickets will be offered. The Farmhouse has a large capacity, so we anticipate being able to accommodate everyone at the door.

Do I need boots?
Nope! Wear whatever shoes are comfortable for you.
Do I need a partner?
No! This is single line dancing, not couples dancing. Although, if you want to turn a dance into a partner dance, you're welcome to!
Do I need to know how to line dance?
Absolutely not! That's what I’m here for. 😉 We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
What should I bring?
Bring your dancing shoes, water, and your best Halloween spirit! 🎃
Hydration reminder: Line dancing is exercise! Please stay hydrated. The bar will be open for drinks, and you are welcome to bring your own water.
🚫 Absolutely no outside alcohol is allowed.
👢 Clean shoes, please! If your shoes are muddy, please bring a clean pair to change into before hitting the dance floor. Let’s help take care of this beautiful space!
