On Friday, October 31st celebrate All Hallow’s Eve at The Mahoning Drive-In Theater with our first annual Halloween DUSK-TO-DAWN SCARE-A-THON! Witness FIVE malevolently menacing mystery movies, from classics to deep cuts, all guaranteed to make you shiver and shake, quiver and quake!It’s the end of a rocking and rolling 2025 season, and we decided to celebrate by reviving that classic Drive-In tradition, the all-nighter! Buckle up, bundle up, take a nap, and prepare yourself for sights you never thought you’d see (and potentially will never be able to UNsee) on the big, BIG screen!
We present an all-out sinister celluloid assault on your senses, a runaway train of terror careening through the dark of night, filled with vintage Drive-In delights! We won’t reveal the titles until they hit the massive Mahoning screen, but we can say this – they’ll scare the YELL out of you!
Dress up in your Halloween finest, costumes, casual wear or rent a tux, because the projectors will be oiled up and ready to roll, and so will a few heads*! Who will survive, and what will be left of them?
WARNING! The five frighteningly ferocious films screening at The Mahoning Drive-In Theater’s SCARE-A-THON are not for the faint of heart, children, or those of a nervous disposition. They may contain hackings, slashings, ghosts, monsters, maniacs, wide lapels, blood, nudity, coarse language, and other scenes of a frank nature!
Before we put our Simplex E-7's into their winter slumber, we will be presenting the first 4 films on 35mm. As we fight the sun, we will fire up the digital one last time for a rare treat unavailable on film.
*Any decapitations that may occur at SCARE-A-THON will happen solely onscreen. Any in-person decapitations are solely the responsibility of the customer, and The Mahoning Drive-In Theater will not be held responsible for any that may occur due to headlights hitting the screen.
Gates open at 6pm, and will remain open until the beginning of Movie 4! Showtime at 7:30pm.
We expect run run films until around 6am. We are offering Extended Passes for those who would like to stay until Noon on Saturday.
Arrive early for a live DJ set, Photo Ops, Themed Raffle and Spooky Snack Bar Specials, and more Halloweeny fun!
General Tix: $20 (per person). Includes all 5 films.
General+Extended Pass: $30 (per person). Allows you to stay in backlot until noon.
All events are rain or shine.
