Halifax Citadel Ghost Tour

Climb to the top of the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and meet your historically costumed guide on the drawbridge at the main gate of the Halifax Citadel. For 70 minutes, you'll be led by candlelight through tunnels and Pr*son cells, and hear true accounts of unexplained events in their actual locations.

Public ghost tours run on select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from Saturday, July 8 to Saturday, October 28. All tours begin at 8:30 pm, and are approximately 70 minutes in length.

Tours start at the front gate of the Halifax Citadel (accessible on foot from Brunswick Street, or by car from Sackville Street).

Refunds will be given for cancellations received at least 24 hours prior to a tour's start time (Eventbrite's fees are not refundable). Please note that tickets can only be redeemed on the date for which they were originally purchased.

Public ghost tours are only offered in English on some Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:30 pm. However, private tours may be booked on most evenings year round in English or French. Please contact us at [email protected] or 902-426-1990 for more information, or to make a booking!
