Halal and Tayyib Meat: Rediscovering the Sunnah Diet

Join Karimia Institute for an insightful lecture exploring the principles of halal and tayyib food, and how the Sunnah diet can contribute to better health, animal welfare and sustainable farming.

The talk will consider the Islamic values behind ethical food choices, including compassion towards animals, responsible consumption and environmental stewardship. It will also highlight the importance of moderation in meat consumption and the role of ethical, sustainable food systems rooted in Islamic teachings.

The lecture will be delivered by Gemma Ali, an agricultural researcher and founder of the Halal Animal Welfare Association (HAWA). With expertise in livestock science and animal welfare, Gemma promotes ethical and sustainable farming through research, education and advocacy.

The event will be held under the supervision of Professor Dr Musharraf Hussain OBE, DL, translator of The Majestic Qur’an.
