Overview
Join the Haitian American Lawyers Association of Georgia (HALAGA) for Law Day, a free, community-centered legal empowerment event at Columbia Middle School (Decatur, GA). In partnership with HANA, the Stewart Foundation, GHACCI, and GHREA, Law Day brings together attorneys, service providers, and neighbors for practical guidance, resources, and real-time support—all alongside a community Health Fair hosted by our partners.
What you’ll experience
- Opening Immigration Panel: Practical updates and community-focused strategies.
- Three Breakout Sessions: Actionable workshops on timely legal topics.
- One-on-One Consultations: Brief attorney consultations and financial coaching (first-come, first-served; limited slots).
- Health Fair, Screenings & Resources: Courtesy of HANA & the Stewart Foundation.
- Resource Hub: Know-your-rights materials, referrals, and community orgs.

Community members, students, families, and professionals seeking clear legal information, referrals, and practical next steps—no legal background required.
