Born from the creative pulse of Scotland’s indie scene, Haiver is a Glasgow-based band led by Billy Kennedy, of the acclaimed Frightened Rabbit. Blending heartfelt lyricism with soaring melodies, Haiver’s sound moves between the intimate and the anthemic, weaving stories of loss, resilience and the fragile beauty of starting again.
What began as Kennedy’s personal outlet for reflection has evolved into a full-bodied four-piece, featuring John Bonnar on bass, Craig Brownlie on guitar and Findlay Wallace Brown on drums. Haiver channels emotional honesty into something raw, fresh and deeply human. The music captures the quiet moments that sit between grief and hope, wrapped in shimmering guitars, driving rhythms, and Kennedy’s soul-stirring voice.
Their songs speak to anyone who’s ever tried to piece themselves back together - equal parts melancholy and momentum, rooted in Scotland’s musical tradition of sincerity and grit.
Haiver are quickly carving a place for themselves among the country’s most vital new acts, offering listeners a sound that feels both comfortingly familiar and strikingly new - a reminder that even in the aftermath, there’s beauty in the rebuild.
