Haitian Heritage Celebration 2026

The Greater Haitian American Chamber of Commerce (GHACC) proudly announces its Haitian Heritage Month celebration, coinciding with Haitian Flag Day, on May 15th at the Diamond Events Ballroom. This Island life themed event kicks off at 12 PM and promises an evening filled with cultural enrichment, community camaraderie, and a celebration of the vibrant Haitian business community in Orlando.

Haitian Heritage Month holds profound significance as a time to honor and celebrate the rich cultural heritage and contributions of the Haitian community to the fabric of our society. As we commemorate Haitian Flag Day, we pay homage to the creation of the revolutionary battle flag that came to symbolize the birth of the first free black republic in the world, the first independent state in the Caribbean.

The GHACC Haitian Heritage Month celebration will serve as a platform to showcase the diverse talents, traditions, and entrepreneurial spirit of the Haitian business community in Orlando. From dynamic cultural performances to mouthwatering Haitian cuisine, attendees will experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Haiti while forging meaningful connections with fellow community members.

The festivities will include live music, performances, art exhibitions, and opportunities to engage with local Haitian-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. Through this celebration, GHACC aims to foster a greater appreciation for Haitian culture, promote economic empowerment, and strengthen bonds of solidarity within the Orlando business community.

This year marks the fourth official annual celebration of Haitian Heritage Month in Orlando after Mayor Buddy Dyer proclaimed May as Haitian Heritage Month in 2021, following nearly four years of lobbying by GHACC. Join us as we come together to celebrate Haitian Heritage Month and Haitian Flag Day on May 17th at Bon Appetit.
