DJ a second generation hairdresser started his career in the 90’s at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, where he quickly became one of Vidal Sassoon’s finest educators and curriculum creators.

He is the author of the Paul Mitchell cutting system and co author of the Vidal Sassoon family of techniques (ABC). DJ is also known as a global platform artist sharing his knowledge and skill to a worldwide audience. His collection work has featured in all major trade and fashion publications. DJ is currently Artistic Director of John Paul Mitchell Systems and is one the world’s most sought after educators in the industry because of his no fluff approach and his ability to breakdown the what, why, how, when and what if, of haircutting in the simplest of ways. He believes that ‘Knowledge Destroys Fear’ and with form follows function as his basis Dj believes that creativity is encouraged through knowledge and skill.
