About this Event

Haiku Tampa (@haikutampa) returns with their 3rd Sunday Haikus & Art brunch, presented by GrowHouse (@Growhousetampa)and Tyler in Tampa founder of TT Art Collective(@tylerintampa)!

This month we have something special! In addition to our usual Haiku Open Mic, we are looking for the BRAVEST Haikusters in the city, willing to battle wits and pens in a head-to-head style Haiku Deathmatch for the ages!!!!!

This is an open competition to anybody who has 15+ haikus that they are willing to share in a competitive format and judged by three proven lovers of the Ku. The winner of this epic battle will receive riches, glory, and the illustrious Number II Haiku Headband, offering you a chance to compete in a head-to-head with our current Number I Haiku Headband Champion: Nyssa Hanger...

  • Rules and regulations will be immediately provided to anybody who inquires about entering the 17 chambers
  • There is an 8 poet cap for the tournament portion. If more than 8 poets want to compete, there will be a single haiku per poet deathmatch that will determine who the 8 poets for the tournament will be.
