HAHA ACADEMY: Spring 2026

In this five-week workshop for kids ages 8–12, professional TV writer Eliot Glazer (Broad City, New Girl, Younger, The Boys, MTV, HBO, Netflix) introduces students to the wide world of comedy — focusing on creative writing rather than stand-up and improv — while teaching the language of humor across mediums, including the fundamentals of joke structure, rhythm, and timing.

Students will discover what makes their point of view unique and transform their ideas into an original comedic piece. For kids who love to write — or those who don’t always feel inspired by school assignments — this workshop offers a fresh, playful outlet for creativity and self-expression outside of school.

Students build confidence in their voices while learning how humor works on the page. Perfect for shy or outgoing kids alike — no performing required! Small class sizes ensure each student receives individual attention and support, as well.

We wrap with a pizza party and celebratory reading, where students may share their work themselves or have it performed by a professional comedian.

Supplies, water and snacks provided.
