Join us for an energetic evening of live music as three bands we absolutely love jump on stage at The Waterfront Studio.
Hacktivist -
Hacktivist is a British band known for their unique blend of metalcore and rap, creating an intense and energetic sound that stands out in the music scene. Formed in 2011, the band has been at the forefront of the "rap-metal" movement, combining aggressive guitar riffs with fast-paced rap verses. Their music often carries powerful messages about social issues, technology, and rebellion, making them a voice for those who feel unheard.
With heavy influences from metal and hip-hop, Hacktivist's tracks feature a mix of both heavy and melodic elements, and their live shows are known for their explosive energy. They’ve garnered a loyal following for their hard-hitting sound and socially conscious lyrics.
Eschalon -
Award-winning dual-vocal tech-metalcore outfit Eschalon have been making waves since their debut in late 2023 with “Helios”. Founded in Cambridge by Simon Garrod & Miles Taylor, the band got its beginnings as a behind-the-scenes band for many years, crafting multiple bodies of work whilst building a full band and an intense live show. Described as a visual and auditory onslaught, Eschalon’s presence is undeniable; from their striking visuals, to their dynamic sound and immersive live experience, with the band racking up over 600,000 streams across platforms in their first year.
Mixing dissonance and serenity in a way that is unique in 2024, Eschalon draws from a wide range of influences, fusing multiple genres throughout a dense and chaotic soundscape.
InRetrospect -
Drawing inspiration from the likes of genre titans Limp Bizkit and Skindred, InRetrospect has carved a niche for themselves in the music scene with their electrifying fusion of rap and metal. Their unique sound has garnered acclaim from esteemed outlets including BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, and Metal Hammer, solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with. The band also recently played a packed Download Festival 2024 to 10,000 people with a fun and memorable set!
