Welcome to the Hackney Marshes Litter Pick for World Clean up Day 2024!
Join us on Friday September 20th 2024 at 13:00 in Hackney Marshes. Let's come together to clean up our community and make a positive impact on World Clean up Day.
Gloves, Bags and Litter Picks will be provided.
We will be meeting at 12:30pm at Hackney Marshes Centre for a short health and safety breifing and starting the litter pick at 1pm, at which point will be commence the litter pick of Hackney Marshes.
World Cleanup Day is an annual global social action program aimed at combating the global solid waste problem, including the problem of marine debris.
World Cleanup Day is held over the course of a 24-hour period, on the 3rd Saturday of September annually. World Cleanup Day aims to raise awareness of the mismanaged waste crisis by mobilising all spheres of society to participate in cleanup actions.
