Hack the Nest 2025

Hack the Nest is the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area’s largest high school hackathon, designed to inspire the next generation of computer science innovators! This 36-hour collaborative event, taking place March 29–30, will bring together 300 talented students to build innovative projects, interact with sponsors, attend workshops, and have fun!

Now in its second year, Hack the Nest continues to grow --- last year’s event was a resounding success, with over 150 participants creating impressive projects and gaining valuable skills. Unfortunately, high school students are often excluded from the top collegiate hackathons—only 8% of hackers are in high school—making Hack the Nest a critical platform to bridge this gap and inspire young developers.
