Can you build, prompt, or vibe-code a functional PropTech prototype in just 5 hours?
Join Built in Notts and integrate at LAB82 for a high-energy, 1-day hackathon focused on solving real-world challenges in managed office spaces.
Whether you're a seasoned software engineer, a low-code wizard, a UI/UX designer, or someone with deep domain experience in property and workspace operations, this is your chance to experiment, build, and connect with Nottingham's tech community.
🚀 The Challenge
Managed office spaces are evolving fast, but operators and tenants still face big friction points—from clunky room bookings and tenant engagement to energy management and operational inefficiency.
Your goal: Build an intelligent, scalable prototype that improves how flexible workspaces operate, serve tenants, or run efficiently.
We welcome traditional code, low-code tools, and modern AI/vibecoding workflows (v0, Cursor, Bolt, LLM APIs). If it works and solves the problem, it counts!
💡 How Teams Work
Don't have a team? No problem! While you're welcome to bring a pre-formed group of up to 5, most participants match up on the morning. We’ll run a fast, effortless team-matching session during breakfast using skill badges so everyone finds a crew before hacking starts at 09:30 AM.
🏆 Judging & Exposure
Pitches will be judged on two core criteria:
- Feasibility & Market Potential — does this solve a real workspace pain point?
- Innovation & Creativity — how smart or novel is the approach or AI/low-code workflow?
- Working Execution — did you deliver a functional prototype or demo?
Top projects will be showcased across Built in Notts channels, with opportunities to put your ideas directly in front of property operators and community leaders.

- Any pre-installed dev tools or free-tier accounts you like to use (GitHub, Vercel, Cursor, v0, Supabase, etc.).
