St John’s College proudly presents Habits of the Heart V, our annual October series honouring Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. This year’s theme, Reframing the Legacy, invites participants to explore the enduring impact of apartheid and consider how history can guide meaningful transformation.

THURSDAY, 2 OCTOBER AT 07h30: TUTU MEMORIAL MASS & LECTURE
Most Revd Dr Thabo Cecil Makgoba, Archbishop of Cape Town, will lead this special guest lecture and Mass. This event is free, but booking is essential as there are a limited number of seats available.
TUESDAY, 7 OCTOBER AT 18h00: HEART-TO-HEART CONVERSATIONS OVER DINNER
An evening where conversation will come alive and ideas take shape with Dan Corder, Amahle-Imvelo Jaxa, Lindiwe Dlamini, Erick Kabongo, Geraldine Pillay, Stuart West and James Urdang. Tickets are R250 per person.
SUNDAY, 12 OCTOBER AT 07h30: TUTU MEMORIAL WALK
A 7km walk through Houghton, Hillbrow, Berea, and Yeoville, participants will walk in memory of Tutu. Tickets are R50, and R150 if you'd like the t-shirt too.
