Gæðastund á Listasafni Íslands við Fríkirkjuveg 7
Leiðsögn sérfræðings um 140 ára afmælissýningu safnsins þar sem finna má valin listaverk úr safneigninni eftir um 100 listamenn frá mismunandi tímabilum listasögunnar. Sýningin endurspeglar ekki aðeins það hlutverk Listasafns Íslands að byggja upp safnkost sem endurspeglar strauma og stefnur í listum hverju sinni, heldur einnig mikilvægi safnsins sem varðveislustaðar og lifandi vettvangs skoðanaskipta.
Gæðastundir eru viðburðir sem ætlaðir eru eldri borgurum. Viðburðirnir eru samsettir úr sérsniðnum leiðsögnum og spjalli við sérfræðinga safnsins um myndlist, yfirstandandi sýningar og starfsemi.
Viðburðirnir skapa tækifæri fyrir gesti til að nálgast myndlistina og menningararf þjóðarinnar á margvíslegan hátt. Ávallt er boðið upp á kaffi og meðlæti á gæðastundum í Listasafni Íslands. Kaktus Espressobar á Fríkirkjuvegi styrkir verkefnið með bakkelsi.

Quality Moments at the National Gallery of Iceland on Fríkirkjuvegur 7
The National Gallery of Iceland for 140 years
Specialist led tour about the exhibition Looking Inward, looking Outward. To mark the 140th anniversary of the founding of the National Gallery of Iceland, the museum devotes its galleries to a selection of outstanding works by approximately 100 artists from the collection. The four halls of the museum at Fríkirkjuvegur center on the following themes: Society and Community; Picturing the Self and Others; Form, Line and Colour; and Humans and Nature. The exhibition reflects on the importance of the museum as a place for preservation and a living forum for the meaningful exchange of ideas.
The events calendar is aimed at senior citizens and is composed of specially designed tours as well as discussions with the museum´s experts on fine art, ongoing exhibitions and the work of the National Gallery of Iceland.
The events create opportunities for guests to approach art and our national heritage from different perspectives.
The National Gallery´s Quality Moments events are always accompanied by coffee and pastries. The pastries are contributed by Kaktus Espressobar which sponsors the project.
