Sushi Bar is considered to be the best Omakase Experience in America, now in LA for a two day Pop Up .
About this Event

During Los Angeles Art Week, a select number of guests are invited to enter The Imprint Experience, a singular evening where haute omakase and the ancient Japanese art of Gyotaku converge. This limited pop-up will take place at the Tim Clarke Design Studio located at 2630 Pico Blvd Santa Monica, transformed for the occasion into an intimate extension of Sushi | Bar’s world.

Guests will witness a private, live Gyotaku demonstration as the art form is created in real time, just feet from their seats. Each attendee will depart with an original Gyotaku piece produced exclusively during the evening—no reproductions, no repetitions.

The experience unfolds alongside Sushi | Bar’s signature 17-course omakase, a refined expression of modern nigiri defined by precision, restraint, and innovation. A curated four-course sake pairing weaves seamlessly through the progression, designed to echo both the rhythm of the meal and the artistry unfolding in the room.

The Imprint Experience is offered at $488 per guest, including service charge. The evening begins with a complimentary welcome cocktail, followed by a thoughtfully curated four-course sake or wine pairing selected to accompany the omakase.

Seating is intentionally limited to 14 guests per seating, with two seatings nightly at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM, preserving the intimacy and discretion of the experience.

Each guest will also depart with an original piece of Japanese artwork created during the experience—an enduring imprint of a moment crafted once, shared briefly, and never repeated.
