Welcome to the third concert of the gWinds Wind Ensemble!🎶This concert can be attended by Googlers and their registered guests wearing guest badges. No RSVP needed.
Doors Open: 5:30 PM (ensemble will be warming up)
Concert Time: 6 - 7 PM

Room: Mariposa Grove Tech Talk (NW corner on 1st floor)
Parking: Lot north of building
Program Description: This cycle we will be featuring various pieces that were originally written for different groups. Two pieces, Cenotaph by Jack Stamp and First Suite by Holst, were originally composed for wind bands. We will also be performing My Old Kentucky Home by Steven Foster (Cowherd arrangement), and O Magnum Mysterium by Lauridsen (H. Robert Reynolds transcription), which were both originally composed for choir. Finally, two works transcribed from piano — Children’s March by Grainger (self-transcribed), and Pas Redoublé by Saint-Saens (Josneau transcription) — will round out this selection of pieces.
