Calling all boys and men 1st grade and up! It’s time for GUYS GETAWAY — the ultimate campout experience with your friends and church family! There will be C02 car races, camping, competitions, nature walks, a beast feast, and all kinds of things your fella will enjoy!
Sign up at the link provided. If you sign up by September 24th, you will get a free t-shirt. Pastor Adam could use lots of trusted men role models to assist. Let him know personally if you would like to help. Church van transportation will be offered.

What is a Guys Getaway?
Guys Getaway is a weekend event for boys' ministry held statewide. It includes camping, recreational activities, worship sessions, cookouts, and many other exciting events!
Who is it for?
Guys Getaway is designed for boys in 1st through 12th grade. Each group must include at least one male chaperone. Women are not permitted in the tents or dormitories.
When & Where is it?
October 18-19, 2024 at the State Campground - 8018 Angel Lane Roanoke, VA
How much does it cost?
The cost per person is $25 until September 25th. Moreover, a canteen will be available over the weekend for buying snacks. The registration fee covers all activities and Saturday's lunch.
When is registration?
Registration for the event is 4:00 PM on Friday night at the Hagee Dining Hall.
What do we bring to registration?
On the day of the event, payment is required for those registering on-site. All participants must sign a liability and consent form, which will be collected and held onto by the group leader. These forms do not need to be submitted during registration.
Do we have to tent to camp?
Tent camping is optional, though strongly recommended. Dormitory accommodation will be offered for an additional $5 per person.
Is firewood provided?
Firewood is not supplied on-site, but you are welcome to collect it from the campground.
Alternatively, feel free to bring your own firewood.
Where do we camp?
We offer numerous campsites, all of which are traditional with no water or electricity, but with multiple bathhouses available. For those who favor dormitories, reservations can be made through the registration form. Each dorm room accommodates 12 individuals and requires a male adult chaperone. Room allocations will be posted at registration.
What about meals?
You should be ready to prepare dinner for your group on Friday and breakfast on Saturday.
A cookout will be arranged for lunch on Saturday.
Can I get a refund?
As supplies are acquired according to registration, refunds will not be available for those who cannot attend.
T-shirts?
T-shirts are $15 each and can be pre-ordered using the registration form. Please remember that we will only have a limited number of T-shirts available at the event. To ensure you get a shirt, please fill out the section on the registration form. After September 25th, it will not be possible to order T-shirts.
