The French producer and DJ who has enjoyed a cult following ever since his solo debut with Le Bienheureux a decade ago. 2011's follow up Paradise For All and 2014's Hip Hop After All cemented his name as a worldwide talent who mixes jazz, soul and hip hop to devastating effect.
But his crowning work is his Beach Diggin' series, a collection of blissfully hidden gems that have been used as a gold mine by the likes of Motor City Drum Ensemble, Jeremy Underground and other seasoned selectors.
The evening will begin with the screening of the 1hr long making of the ESTRELLAS album, a composition of 16 tracks, 25 artists, across 15 days in Dakar between several languages, explaining the journey GUTS and his ensemble went on to create such a merge of cultures and inspirations.
GUTS celebrates the launch of his new album ESTRELLAS with a documentary screening of how the album was produced.
After the screening, Nortberto Rodriguez will perform a 30-minute solo guitar live set offering his own rendition of the album.
GUTS will then take the decks playing a classic selection going across all borders of his musical creations, and influences KUMAR SUBLEAVEO - BEAT will then follow with a 1h live set before GUTS returns to spin more of his favorite gems and brings the night to a climax ! This is not one to miss...
