Join Guthrie the Goose as each month he playfully introduces our youngest visitors to a different artwork or theme. Sessions can include a mixture of music, dance, crafts and games. Expect something different every time. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
On arrival, head straight to the ground floor Learning Space, just off Gallery 2.
Please note that space for prams is limited.

Come and enjoy story time, sensory play and crafting as we explore our seaside-themed displays.
This is a messy session; we recommend bringing spare clothes!

Degas’ dancers
Take a closer look at one of the beautiful sculpted ballerinas by French artist Edgar Degas. We’ll then limber up for a playful movement and dance session.

This month Guthrie the Goose will introduce us to one of his favourite artworks: To Pastures New by James Guthrie. Together we’ll explore this painting through movement, songs, games and stories.

Time for tea
You’re invited to a tea party! Search the Art Gallery for party essentials before we roll up our sleeves for a spot of pretend ‘cake’ decorating… but don’t forget to wash the dishes before you leave!
