GUT FEELINGS in-person workshop
About this Event
Have you ever noticed your stomach tighten before a difficult conversation? Or that stress seems to show up in your digestion before your mind has even caught up?
You're not imagining it.
Our gut and brain are in constant conversation. When we understand that relationship, it becomes easier to make sense of symptoms like bloating, constipation, IBS, abdominal discomfort, and unpredictable digestive flare-ups.
Join Dr. Rachael Lovink, ND, and Dana Smith, RMT, CPCC, for an engaging afternoon that combines evidence-based science education with guided experiential practice.
Dr. Lovink will explore the fascinating science behind the gut-brain connection, why digestive symptoms can persist even when tests come back "normal," and how anxiety, stress, and perceived safety influence digestive health.
Then, Dana will guide participants through a gentle experiential practice that helps bring the science into lived experience. Through guided relaxation and visualization, you'll explore your experience through the lenses of mind, body, and spirit while learning simple micro-practices that support nervous system regulation and everyday wellbeing.
Whether you're living with digestive symptoms, navigating an anxious nervous system, or simply curious about the powerful conversation between the gut and the brain, you'll leave with practical insights, accessible tools, and a new perspective on working with your body rather than against it.
