We’re proud to partner once again with Yamaha Pro Angler and Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful Board Member Ish Monroe to do another Tennessee River cleanup, this time on the stunning Guntersville Lake! This lake was ranked 2nd on Bassmaster Magazine’s 100 Best Bass Lakes of the Decade. On this cleanup, we’re also honored to be joined by our sponsors at Yamaha Rightwaters!
BACKSTORY:
In 2019, Yamaha Rightwaters made a donation of $5,000 to Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful during the most attended Bassmaster Classic ever held, located in Knoxville, Tenn. At the time, KTNRB had not even introduced its first boat to the water and had removed around 60,000 lbs. of trash from he Tennessee River.
Four years later, KTNRB now boasts two boats powered by over $30,000 worth of Yamaha outboard motors donated by Yamaha and have rallied over 4,000 volunteers to remove over 712,000 lbs. of trash from the Tennessee River watershed. KTNRB set a record last year with over 218,000 lbs. of trash removed in 2023.
