Part lecture, part performance, this program explores artist Niki de Saint Phalle's radical and performative art in the 1960s, from her collaborations with Robert Rauschenberg to her critical engagement with issues of violence and masculinity.
Presented by Michelle White, Senior Curator at the Menil Collection (Houston) and co-curator of the exhibition Niki de Saint Phalle in the 1960s (2021) and featuring a new dance work by KOSTAS, this evening celebrates a transformative decade in Saint Phalle’s career and her distinctive brand of feminism.
