Gunnison Youth Whitewater Kayaking Camp (Ages 12-17)Want to learn to kayak? Join us for this 4-day camp; you will learn boat fitting, wet exits, basic strokes, balancing, safety, and the T-rescue. Through out the week you will be introduced to river safety and hydrology, whitewater risk assessment, advanced stroke technique and how to roll your kayak. This class will take place in the pool and river. Must be a proficient swimmer.
Dates: August 1-4 (Sun.(pm) – Wed.)
Time: Sunday Evening 6:00pm-8:30pm (Indoor Pool)
Mon - Wed 9:00am-4:00pm (each day)
Cost: $250
Ages: 12-17
All equipment is provided, you are welcome to bring your own if you have it
