About this Event

Exiled to the forest after a lost gambling match, the five Pāṇḍava brothers and their wife Draupadī ponder their future. While the hapless agent of their exile, the eldest brother, Prince Yudhiṣṭhira counsels a rigid and patient adherence to a framework of royal virtues (dharma), Draupadī makes the case for military vengeance, demonstrating that anger (krodha) can righteously inform moral argument for action.

This lecture will be followed by a reception in the Rainy Hall.
