Welcome to October’s gathering of the Gumbo Bottoms Single Pot Still Poets Society! This month we will have a special format for the open mic: we invite all contributors to the first volume of our anthology to read selections from their submissions to the anthology in the first half of the evening. Following this series or readings and a short break, we will then open the room up to any who did not have submissions in the anthology, interspersed with readers who want to take turns reading poems from other writers in the anthology so that they can lend their voice to each other’s creations.
For those interested, we will have copies of the anthology on hand to sell for $20. It features the work of Keely Alexander, Rick Christiansen, John A. Clayton, M. Cortney Daniels, Jon Freeland, Ken Gierke, Justin Hamm, Caitlin Korte, Lynn Jensen Lampe, Barbara Harris Leonhard, T.K. Pierce, Mark Pottorff, A.
