When Alec was invited to play with Philip at the Quadra Island Festival of Chamber Music, they knew they had something special in the magical combination of guitar and cello. Alec is a brilliant performer, composer, teacher and champion of classical guitar in B.C. and director of the Okanagan Guitar Festival. The remarkably accomplished Philip Hansen is the founder and artistic director of the Quadra Island Festival of Chamber Music and is currently the principal cellist with Brazil’s Minas Gerais State Philharmonic Orchestra.
