When Alec Pearson was invited to play with Philip Hansen at the Quadra Island Festival of Chamber Music, they knew they had created something special in the magical combination of guitar and cello. Now, they are bringing this exceptional musical experience to the Okanagan Guitar Festival. Alec is a brilliant performer, composer, teacher and champion of classical guitar in B.C. and director of the Okanagan Guitar Festival. The remarkably accomplished Philip Hansen is the founder and artistic director of the Quadra Island Festival of Chamber Music and currently the principal cellist with Brazil’s Minas Gerais State Philharmonic Orchestra.
