About this Event

This fantastic event comes to you courtesy of the Guildwood Village Community Association, Friends of Guild Park and the City of Toronto. Our native tree and shrub giveaway is open to all residents of Toronto and we particularly encourage our neighbours in Scarborough to participate.

Native trees and shrubs are critical to the survival of our birds, insects and wildlife, providing shelter and food throughout the seasons. They are equally important in helping us increase our tree canopy in Toronto, which improves the air quality and environment for all of us. Trees come in 1- 2 gallon buckets and are small enough to carry on the TTC or sit in the back of a car.

Details about each tree or shrub on offer are provided in the ticket descriptions. Please go to the ticket button to make your selections (MAXIMUM OF 4 TREES AND/OR SHRUBS PER HOUSEHOLD) and place your order BEFORE MAY 31st. Order early to ensure that you are able to reserve the plants you want. Trees come in 1- 2 gallon buckets and are small enough to carry on the TTC or sit in the back of a car.

PRE-ORDERING IS REQUIRED AND SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED! Please note that this giveaway is subject to availability and quantities are limited. Order early to ensure that you receive the trees or shrubs that you want.

PICK UP LOCATION AND TIME: The pick up location will be Guild Park & Gardens. We will be in touch confirming the pickup process and further details a week in advance of the event. Watch for signs in the front (north) garden area off Guildwood Parkway on the morning of June 17th. Trees and shrubs must be picked up on June 17th between 10 am and 1 pm and we cannot hold them for later pick up or make any alternate arrangements.

IMPORTANT NOTES & REMINDERS:

1/ There is a MAXIMUM OF FOUR trees and/or shrubs per household, with a sub-limit of no more than two trees or shrubs of any one species. You will be asked to present your ticket(s) when you arrive to pick up your order.

2/ All trees and shrubs MUST be pre-ordered before May 31st and MUST be picked up between 10 am and 1 pm on June 17th. We cannot hold any for you, so plan ahead! Any trees not picked up by 1 pm will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.

3/ Help us support local food banks! We will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Daily Bread Food Bank on June 17th and would welcome your donations. The need has never been greater.
