Guildford Laneway Community Garden Day Painting Workshop

Join us for a watercolour workshop to create a painted plant memory with friends and neighbours as we learn ways to care for our plants.

Every plant has a personality, come and discover them with the residents of GUILDFORD LANEWAY through mindful art making that is suitable for every skill level.

HOW WILL IT WORK?

Arrive 15 minutes early to enjoy a coffee and a snack, wander the art gallery and settle into the space.

We will start the workshop with a walk through the laneway to observe and draw inspiration from the Laneways native and exotic plants. We will then return to the venue and run through painting technique demonstrations, this is your exclusive time to learn and try out a few skills and ideas. We will then compose and develop our paintings step by step. Relax into the session and settle in for a chat and get to know each other and share stories and artwork.

This session we will be looking very very closely at out plants to create some bold and abstract paint scapes.

Painting with watercolour is one of the simplest ways to express yourself artistically. This is very easy art making that is great for every skill level. Get in touch with your inner creativity and find mindfulness through art making. Contemporary watercolour techniques will be made easy with simple demonstrations.

Children over 6 years are very welcome if they can attend with an adult.

Walk-ins are very welcome on the day, but only a few places will be reserved, so to be sure please book your ticket beforehand.

Debra is a Creative Wellbeing Coach and Artist who enjoys sharing ways to reduce stress levels in our daily routine with art making. She will guide you step by step with easy to follow instructions, exploring this beautiful medium and makes it all very easy. Debra believes that art making is for everyone and is an essential part of wellbeing and self-expression, she loves to help you to tap into your creative energy and find your flow.
