About this Event
“Buddha taught many different methods to purify non virtuous actions, downfalls and broken commitments but the supreme method is the practice of meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva. This practice is the scientific method to purify our mind and to transform our mind from an impure mind into a pure mind using Tantric technology.” — - Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
Under the influence of deluded minds, both in this life and in our countless previous lives, we have engaged in many negative actions of body, speech, and mind. As a result, we now experience suffering and problems on a daily basis without choice. One of the most powerful methods for purifying this negativity and removing obstacles on our spiritual path is the practice of Buddha Vajrasattva.
Vajrasattva is the embodiment of the complete purity of mind of all the Buddhas and is known as the Buddha of Purification. By receiving Vajrasattva’s profound blessings, we can cleanse the inner causes of our suffering and problems, and create the conditions for future peace and happiness.
In this weekend retreat, Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Rabka will offer step-by-step guidance on the meditations in the ritual prayer booklet, Meditation and Recitation of Solitary Vajrasattva. By the end of the retreat, you will feel confident in using this practice to purify your own negative karma whenever you wish.
Everybody is welcome to attend this retreat, but please note that this is an in-depth weekend. There will be ample opportunity for Q&A, however a belief in basic Buddhist concepts such as karma, past and future lives and the existence of enlightened beings is assumed.
