Enjoy this walk between two of London’s most famous landmarks. It's a stroll, just over a mile, but packed with stories!About this Event
A fascinating walk between two of London’s most famous landmarks by the banks of the River Thames
Join this great Let's Discover London walk ... we start at the the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral and hear stories of the physical and theological challenges of Wren's design and walk past a gate to the city which once had spiked heads of traitors.
We learn the sad story of Queen Anne and her grand legacy, see the College of Arms (just how did Kate Middleton design hers?). Then there’s the ‘wobbly bridge’, the Chewing Gum man, the power station that became a famous gallery, the site of Shakespeare’s original Globe theatre, cruel bear baiting, tales of the foul-mouthed ferrymen, tales of fire and ice and all the naughty things that happened at Bankside.
We then pass the ruins of the Bishop of Winchester's Palace, a ship that went round the world 500 years ago, Southwark Cathedral and finally London Bridge where I'll leave you at Borough Market for a spot of lunch or a riverside drink.
You'll still have the rest of the day to do as you please (the Tate Modern, visit Borough Market, or the London Dungeon are all close by!)HOW TO JOIN THE TOUR:

What's the tour like?
I write all my own tours so get ready for some new stuff! I don't assume any prior knowledge of history and the tour is suitable for locals or tourists. There'll be time for questions and conversation (about the tour or about London in general ). I'll show you pictures and tell you lots of stories to really make the tour come to life.
Will the tour go ahead if there is bad weather?
Yes it will. Please wear appropriate clothing.
How many people will be in the group?
I have a maximum of 12 people so that you have a better experience.
Can I cancel my ticket?
Yes. If you cancel a week in advance you can get a 100% refund.
What if I am late?
I prefer it if you arrive ten minutes earlier than start so that we can chat.
Once the tour starts it's very hard for me to answer the phone.
Please visit the Transport for London website to plan your travel to the start of the tour and find out about any travel issues (train as, underground etc)
Are you insured?
Yes I have public liability insurance, but everyone is responsible for their own safety so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
