About this Event

Meeting point at the cafe by Eros Fountain in Sefton Park at 12.30pm.

Join Andrea Ku on a guided walk of Sefton Park to learn about the history of the park and the importance of linking the landscape to people.

You’ll learn how Sefton Park became the park it is today, what it was like before it was park land and how it has been used since its creation to become the designated Grade 1 Listed park it is today! You’ll also explore how the original Friends of Sefton Park came about and why they, with other parks groups in the city, play a key role in linking the landscape to local residents.

Andrea Ku is the Chair of the Friends of Sefton Park and the founder of B4Biodiversity, a group of people who aim to raise the awareness of urban biodiversity through educational, practical and creative projects, eg. landscape design & building, beekeeping training, horticulture & gardening, arts projects and more. She is also an artist in her own right, taking on a facilitator's role in her approach to making work.

This walk is taking place outside, please dress for the weather and bring a waterproof! Please wear comfortable shoes which you don't mind getting muddy.
