Guided Tour of Schweikher House

The house's design blends several of the styles which Paul Schweikher worked in throughout his career, with Prairie School, Japanese, and International Style elements woven throughout. The one-story house was built with wood, brick, and glass - the simple materials and low roof helping match the house to its natural environment.

The tour will be led by historian and managing director, Dan Fitzpatrick, with a light lunch to follow.

The Tour: Begins at noon and runs approximately 75 minutes.

The Reception: A light lunch with non-alcoholic beverages will be provided at tour end. Guests are welcome to mingle and walk the grounds freely until 3pm.

Parking: At the end of the dri­ve­way, there is a small area of park­ing in the court­yard between the garage and house. If the court­yard park­ing area is full, cars may also park along the north side of the dri­ve­way along the grassed shoul­der, fac­ing out toward Meacham Road. Please pull far enough off the drive on to the grassed shoul­der to allow cars to pass. Please turn around in the court­yard; no U-turns are allowed along the length of the driveway.
