Guided Tour of 'Pollinator Pathmaker' at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin
About this Event
Join us for a free guided tour of the garden sculpture Pollinator Pathmaker at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin as part of our Butterflies’ Garden Project.
During this visit, we will explore how the garden was created, who it is designed for, and which plant species attract butterflies and other pollinators. Together, we will reflect on the role of pollinator-friendly gardens in supporting urban biodiversity and on how this work shifts the focus away from human-centered design toward pollinator needs.
This will also be a hands-on experience: we will get our hands in the soil and learn about garden care and maintenance through direct practice and professional guidance.
Pollinator Pathmaker – LAS Edition was created by artist Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg and brings together art, ecology, and technology to support urban biodiversity and create habitats for pollinators.
Whether you are interested in gardening, biodiversity, art, or simply curious to discover the space, everyone is welcome.
Please wear clothes that can get dirty and bring a hat or cap and water.
This event is part of the project Butterflies’ Garden: An Urban Habitat for Biodiversity and Community Learning, located at Dammweg 216 (Neukölln, Berlin), supported by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) – Save Our Species and co-funded by the European Union.
