Guided Rum Tasting Event

Join us at Dougla Kitchen for From Cane to Glass, a 45-minute guided tasting through the Caribbean’s three iconic rum traditions: Spanish, English, and French. Guests will enjoy five 1 oz rum pours, featuring both unaged and aged expressions, while exploring how sugarcane, distillation styles, and barrel aging shape the flavors in each glass.

Throughout the tasting, Dougla Kitchen will serve passed hors d’oeuvres designed to complement the experience. Along the way, you’ll hear the stories, history, and flavor profiles behind each pour in a fun, approachable setting. Think of it as a guided rum tasting with friends, minus the PowerPoints.

The evening will be hosted by James Beard Award Winner Chef Andrew Black and our very own Dougla Kitchen General Manager Bradon Christian, a certified spirits expert with extensive knowledge of rum, its origins, production, and flavor profiles.Whether you’re already a rum enthusiast or simply curious to learn more, From Cane to Glass is an opportunity to taste, learn, and connect over great rum and food.
