Guided Nature Sit
About this Event
When was the last time you truly sat with nature?
Not walking through it.
Not exercising in it.
Not thinking about everything waiting for you when you get home.
Just... sitting.
Listening.
Noticing.
Being.
Through gentle guided meditation, quiet reflection, and periods of simply being, you'll be invited to notice the breeze moving through the trees, the sounds around you, the earth beneath you, your breath, your body, and whatever else is present.
Research suggests that spending intentional time in nature can help reduce stress, support nervous-system regulation, restore our attention, and improve our sense of well-being.
But our connection with nature can also go beyond the physical.
For some, sitting quietly in the natural world can become a deeply personal or spiritual experience. A chance to feel connected to yourself, to the earth, to the present moment, or perhaps to something greater than yourself.
There is no right way to experience it.
Everything is an invitation.
What to Expect
We'll gather in a quiet grassy area at Coxhall Gardens. Once everyone is settled, I'll guide you through a gentle meditation followed by periods of guidance and silence, with plenty of room to experience nature in your own way.
You might watch the clouds, listen to the birds, feel the earth beneath you, close your eyes and rest, or simply enjoy being quiet in the company of others.
No meditation experience is necessary.
What to Bring
Bring a blanket, yoga mat, cushion, or outdoor chair, along with water and anything else you need to feel comfortable outdoors. Dress for the weather, and consider sunscreen or insect repellent.
Most importantly, come exactly as you are.
Guided Nature Sit helps you experience the beauty of the natural world while deepening your connection with yourself, leaving you with a renewed sense of presence, peace, and belonging.
