Explore a remarkable example of Victorian design and craftsmanship! Enjoy the elaborately decorated rooms of Lippitt House while exploring how Providence’s industrialization and immigration history shaped the Rhode Island of today. Staff will share stories focusing on the people who lived and worked in the house to illuminate larger ideas about industry, immigration, design, and civic engagement that comprise Providence’s rich cultural heritage.
Friday tours begin at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Tours are also offered on the first Thursday evening of each month, and on select Saturdays. Check LippittHouse.org for full availability.
