About this Event

Location: Please meet by the entry sign at the end of the parking lot. We will then pass through the Tilden Little Farm to get to the start of our trail. The trail itself has very minimal incline, but the walk to the trail is moderately steep.

Time: Please arrive as close to on time as possible, we will begin by 11:10am. If you are running late, please contact me at my cell number (will be shared upon registration). We will end where we started.

What to wear & bring: Please dress for the weather & bring layers. Consider sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, bug spray, snacks, water, etc. Please wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes.

Safety: I am certified in Wilderness First Aid and will have a first aid kit on me. Please bring any medications or additional things you will need to support your health and well-being while outdoors.

More about the practice: "The practice of Forest Therapy is open-ended, with no predetermined outcome, but rather focuses on fostering a reciprocal relationship between the forest and the practitioner. To provide structure, there is a clearly defined sequence of guided events that allows for creativity and serendipity while embracing individual inspiration. When you're out in nature, it can actually help your immune system get stronger by lowering the amount of stress hormones in your body. One reason for this might be the natural chemicals that evergreen trees release into the air, called phytoncides. These chemicals have been shown to help our immune system get better at fighting off sickness." -- ANFT website

Pricing: Sliding scale $40 - $80 per person for a 3 hour walk (low end = I am struggling to meet my basic needs, high end = my vacations include air travel). Please venmo @neenam upon registering for events to confirm your spot. Black, indigenous, and caste-oppressed folks are welcome to join at whatever rate you can offer, and will not be turned away for lack of funds.
