Experience the magic of birdsong at this beautiful site at dawn. We shall be listening to nature as the different bird species wake one by one and begin singing to start the business of a new day, each weaving its unique voice into the dawn chorus that grows in complexity as daylight increases.Our dawn chorus walk will be led by Catherine Day, our Wild Marlow RSPB Swift Volunteer, who will help with some basic birdsong and songbird ID. The perfect opportunity to enjoy the sheer joy of birdsong for its own intrinsic beauty, nuances and diversity. No knowledge of birdsong or birds is required.
The walk will be at a slow pace with lots of pauses for mindful moments to simply stand quietly and enjoy, listening to the interweaving of songs with new ears, leaving at home or in the car park daily stress, hurry, chatter and ringtones.
