Guided cacao (chocolate) tasting at Lake Gardens

This will be a guided cacao (chocolate) tasting session at Lake Gardens.

This event has a RM40 fee per person and is limited to 7 people.

We will be tasting 7 different types of cacao couverture (dark, milk, white) from different regions (Africa, Central America, Asia, blended) and made by different chocolatiers. They will be served in callet form. I may also bring some additional 100% single origin cacao shards. I'll bring 150g of chocolate per person. That will be ample for this 1 hour session.

I will guide the tasting session and will talk about the different types of cacao (chocolate), my experience farming and processing cacao in Malaysia and the cacao industry. If everyone is interested, I would be happy to also talk about the Olmec, Mayan and Aztec history of cacao which is a hobby of mine. You are welcome to film videos and take photos of the event. I hope to make it a fun, enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone.

Notice:

The milk chocolate and white chocolate is not suitable for vegans as it contains dairy.

All the couverture do not contain nuts. However, some of the varietals may have been processed on equipment also used for products containing nuts which may affect you if you have a nut allergy.
