Guided Bird Migration Walk

Booking is now open for our FREE guided bird migration walk! This time we will be joined by local ornithologist Andrew Kinghorn from Bird Watch North East as we search for both wintering and resident birds along the coastline. Come along to learn more about our coastal bird species, their migration journeys and how Sunderland provides much needed feeding and resting grounds for them throughout the year.

We will meet at Whitburn Bents Car Park (What 3 words ///front.chain.sticky) stopping to identify different species and hear more about their characteristics before returning to our starting point.

This event is open to all ages but please note that under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate clothing and suitable clothing. We will have binoculars available to borrow for the duration of the event but if you have your own please bring them along!
