Guided Bike Ride: CREW Bird Rookery Swamp (12 Miles)

Renew your sense of discovery, and reap the benefits of immersing yourself in real Florida, on our guided bike ride of Bird Rookery Swamp (BRS). On this two hour ride, led by a CREW volunteer, you'll bike the entire BRS trail (a 12 mile loop) while discovering an essential part of the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed (CREW)-one of the last wildlife corridors that stretches into the Everglades- and see firsthand local plants and animals of all shapes and sizes. Explore trails with a knowledgeable guide that you can continue to take advantage of long after your guided program is over.

Time: 9:00am - 11:00am

Distance & Difficulty: ~12 miles across some uneven ground

What to Wear and Bring:

• Dress appropriately. We suggest: long pants, durable close-toed shoes, and hat.
• Wear or bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray.
• Bring your own bike, helmet, and any necessary accessories. Please note the trails are not paved and can be loose, sandy, and muddy. You must have bike tires that can handle this terrain.
• Bring plenty of water or re-hydration drink & snacks.

Age Limit: This bike is open to children and adults ages 14 and up.

Location: Bird Rookery Swamp -1295 Shady Hollow Boulevard, Naples, FL 34120. Meet at the trailhead at the main parking lot.

Limited to 12 bikers.

If you cannot attend the ride, please use your registration receipt (emailed upon purchase from Eventbrite) to request a cancellation at least 72 hours before the walk is scheduled.
